Lamonte Arthur aka/Mr.LaMont was born in the Panama Canal Zone on Sept 25, 1956 to Clement & Inez Arthur. He is the oldest of four boys all born of Panamanian descent. His family moved to America in 1963 after His Father joined the U.S. Army. In early 1969 the family ended up at Ft.Huachuca AZ, where his father retired and bought a Home in Sierra Vista. At the ages 12 the discovery was made the Lamonte was gifted in music. Over the years with lots of love from his parents, He moved to Tucson and began playing keyboards with differents group. He has become an accomplished Keyboardist and Composer. He uses his talents to sing praises to God and minister in Music. Mr. Lamont is a devout Christian and is currently serving as Minister of Music at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church. He knows that God has given him the gift of Music. Without hestiation he wants to let the World know this through his songs. Mr. Lamont is striving to bridge Gap between Christ and those who don't know Him. It is His dream to put Tucson on the Gospel Music Map. Lamonte is the Founder and Owner of "LAMART" Music and Productions. Lamont has over 30 years of experience in the Music Business. He has come to know that there are many great Musicans and singers here in Tucson, who need to be heard, a few of which are associated with the LAMART MUSIC Label. "It's Time For Knowing" is the name of his debut CD which released in May 2003. It is an eclectic Blend of New Music which will be enjoyed by both Young and Old. He has been annoited by God in such a way to make this CD a powerful and inspiritional message.
